Not Right Now: False Starts

Sally Pearson had done Australia proud and won Commonwealth gold in Delhi overnight, and had completed her victory lap and prepared to accept her medal for what was an AMAZING effort.

This all came crashing down when games officials, in a delayed reaction told big Sal-Sal that she in fact was not eligible for gold after a false start meant she was disqualified from the final.

Question? Is it hot right now to leave people hanging and think they've won. Let is simmer away and lap up the victory? Why is this umbilical cord left dangling.

This is Delhi's version of Saucy Sarah royally screwing up, as covered in our post related to Australia's Next Top Model. In the case of Sally, it is a top-notch, Top Model blunder of epic Commonwealth proportions!

Even the iconic Cathy Freeman wanted to keep relevant by adding her two cents: "We saw her press conference earlier – poor thing – it’s just terrible and something you can never prepare for. But she will get over it. You don’t prepare for these circumstances because you are always preparing for success. She will get over it, she has to.

Sally we still think you're hot right now, and we cannnot WAIT to see you smash it in the hurdles.

Since the officials in Delhi cannot even erect (LOL erect) a building that will stay standing, I have severe doubt cast into my eyes in to the legitimacy of the 'official' proceedings.

Not right now: False starts, and not right now: dumb, delayed, dodgy, Delhi, official disgrace.
