Hot Right Now: Drought

Why drought you ask? Well lets just say, if you were at Parklife Sydney, you'd know why... Gone are the days where a sunny day to munt in and around was a sure bet.

While we're at it, we were lucky enough to be invited along, and here's a quick wrap at how we rated the days talent.

The torrential rain didn't stop the punters from coming out in force as 40,000 ravers flocked to Kippax lakes to girate and consume the unthinkable. Notable mentions go to an electric set, in the literal sense, from the Midnight Juggernauts as they helped mother nature baptise a very enthusiastic crowd.

Mixmaster Mike scored rave reviews amongst the revelers, whilst unfortunately the often sure bet Busy P's lackluster offering exposed his doodling skills on an interactive screen rather than his turntable prowess. Trying to be too cool and different is what we call Gaga-itis at HRN/NRN. You just look like a toss.

The biggest HOT right now? Well this easily goes to the talented and oh-so dapper Soulwax. With their cool Synth electro sound recreated live for our listening pleasure, i have once again been reminded why you cement yourself in the Electronic Music industries must see list.

Other Parklife Hot Right Now's include:
- Short VIP Bar lines
- Wet sluts
- Sunny periods
- Arrogant Sunglasses
- Wellies

The biggest NOT right now? MISSY DEADSHIT ELLIOT. You drop a track and then stand there and talk about how great you are? This is not cool. You have no new material, you lip-synch and you have the hide to stand up there and talk ghetto and call it entertainment. You sucked the last time I saw you as a 16 year old and you've lost me again. No deal, no dice. And you can run and tell that... Homeboy...

Some more Parklife Not Right Now's include:
- 'Mudlife' dancefloors in the pleb section
- Massive lad/leb prescence
- Red Bull palpatations
- Wet sluts

The Sydney Offering of Parklife was the 4th stop in a 6 date tour for Fuzzy. Can't wait for Field Day, and what you're due to serve up next year. Thanks for the invite guys!
